Women’s Residence Program

Mother and Child, Domestic Violence Services, YWCA of Syracuse and Onondaga County

The YWCA serves the needs of women through the Women's Residence Program, which provides supportive transitional and permanent housing services for single women and mothers who are survivors of domestic violence.

We are not a shelter; we are a program that offers the following services:

  • Housing Services

  • Life Skills Training

  • Support Groups

  • Non-Residential Services

Housing Services

Life Skills Training

  • Financial Management

  • Personal Stability and Goal Acheivement

  • Career Development and Conflict Resolution

  • Social and Personal Growth

While maintaining housing, each resident is assigned to a case manager who aids them in managing finances, establishing a stable lifestyle, achieving individual goals, developing their career, resolving conflicts positively, improving social skills, enhancing parent skills, making healthy decisions, and becoming more self-sufficient. We utilize various sources and tools to educate and empower the women in our program. For more information, please contact Fanny Villarreal at fvillarreal@ywca-syracuse.org or 315-424-0040.

Support Groups, Domestic Violence Services, YWCA of Syracuse and Onondaga County

Support Groups

At YWCA Syracuse, we are committed to providing support and resources to those in need. We offer weekly Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings to help individuals on their journey to recovery.

Our AA meetings provide a safe, confidential, and welcoming space for individuals seeking support in overcoming alcohol dependency. Whether you are new to recovery or have been on this path for some time, you are not alone.
